If you haven’t already you should give your house a good clean, clearing out your home of clutter in anticipation of the new fresh year.

2. Be thankful.
Whatever your religion is, take some time on this day to visit your house of worship and say thanks for all you received during the Year of the Fire Rooster. Whether you’re giving thanks for the all the good things you were blessed with this year or the lessons you learned, this is a perfect opportunity to say your peace.

3. Tonight, decorate your house with flowers and fruits.
Flowers that are recommended for this are azalea, peony, water lily or narcissus and fruits are Pineapples, oranges, apples, and grapes. They say all of these items are all symbols of prosperity.
