ANCHOR & DEN COMES OUT OF THE KITCHEN

Chefs from the best restaurants around the island host their own table and cook their very impressive menus, tableside. It really is a show in itself. Every year this spectacular event is hosted by the Ritz Carlton and is always such a fun and exciting experience not only for our guests but for our chefs as well. It’s not very often we get the opportunity to really immerse our guests in the live action of the A&D kitchen and the chefs got to enjoy the limelight as they cook in front of our eyes.
Chef Santiago Mancini and Chef Pedro Passalacqua alongside Executive Chef Steve Griffon presented a delicious range of our signature dishes from our El Mercat menu. Starting with gigantic family style charcuterie boards with homemade sourdough bread, paired beautifully with a sherry oozing, authentic sangria. Entrees consisted of Pulpo a la Gallerga (Galician-style octopus,) Prawns Al Ajolio (Spanish style garlic shrimp) and mouthwatering Porchetta, all finished off with an incredible Tarta de Santiago (Spanish almond cake.)
We were honored to host some of the most delightful Anchor & Den loyalists to our table this year and it really did feel like a family-style meal for all those involved.
Thanks to all the amazing efforts from restaurants participating and guests attending this year, all funds generated were donated to the Hurricane Relief Fund, raising over $75,000!
If you want a taste of what we offered at the ‘Out of the Kitchen’ event, get down to Anchor & Den every Thursday evening to experience El Mercat – Nit de Tapes for yourself.
